About

Charter schools are public schools that operate with an agreement (or charter) with a state, school district, or governmental entity to provide an enhanced education that is often unavailable within the conventional public schooling setting. Charter schools are open to all students, do not charge tuition, have no religious affiliation, and must abide by the same state and federal testing, financial, anti-discrimination, health, and safety regulations as all public schools. They typically have higher levels of parent, student, and community involvement and often realize higher student achievement.

Founders Classical Academy is not affiliated with a local school district (ISD). We are part of the ResponsiveEd® family of schools, and our accreditation is with the Texas Education Agency as a public charter school designed to provide an effective, traditional liberal arts and sciences education for our students, otherwise known as a Classical Education. Over the last several years, Founders has earned distinctions from the Texas Education Agency for Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and College Readiness. Our student ACT, CLT, SAT, and Advanced Placement scores are above Texas and national averages.

Our campus is small by design, which gives it a private school atmosphere where parents, faculty, and staff can work together for the benefit of each child.
